Dr Z. S. Meharwal is the Director and Coordinator of Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute. He completed his M.B.B.S, M.S. (General Surgery) and M.Ch. (Cardiothoracic Surgery) from King George's Medical College, Lucknow. He has worked as Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at the prestigious King's College Hospital in London.

With an experience of more than 25 years in cardiac surgery and over 20,000 surgeries to his credit, Dr. Meharwal is one of the best-known cardio-vascular experts in India right now. He is also the Programme Director of DNB Cardiothoracic Surgery at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute.

He has been invited as guest faculty to a number of national and international institutes and has lectured in a number of conferences, with over 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals to his credit. Dr. Meharwal has been actively involved in social services and has been organizing free cardiac camps all over the country along with delivering regular health talks.
